China Market Update: Updated Textile, Footwear Products & Hardgoods Standard List 2025

China’s 2025 standard updates revise and expand mandatory and voluntary requirements for textiles, footwear, toys, children’s products, and hardgoods, introducing new product and test standards with phased implementation from 2025 through 2027.
In 2025, the standardization administration of the People’s Republic of China released announcement No.4, No.6, No.10, No.13, No.19, No.21 No.22, No.24, No.25, No.29 and No.33 and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People’s Republic of China released announcement No.7, No.13 and to publish standards updates.
There are updated textile and hardgoods mandatory standards, textile, footwear, hardgoods products standards and method standards, including GB 18383-2025 “General technical requirements for products with filling materials”, GB/T 5453—2025 “Textiles—Determination of the permeability of fabrics to air”, GB/T 7573-2025 “Textiles—Determination of pH of aqueous extract”, FZ/T 73053—2025 “Knitted down garments”, GB/T 45269—2025 “Footwear—Test methods for whole shoe—Flexing durability”, GB 6675.1—2025 “Safety of toys—Part 1: Basic code”, GB 6675.2—2025 “Safety of toys—Part 2: Mechanical and physical properties”, GB/T 5296.5—2025 “Instructions for use of products of consumer interest—Part 5: Toys”, etc., as well as new mandatory standard for children’s products such as GB 46523—2025 “General safety requirements for children’s products”, etc.
